how do i do the ebay thing?

i dont wanna drive to the post office all the time--its so far out of the way. i know you can print shipping labels. but how do i weigh it?? or DO i weigh it?? i'm just confused about the whole thing. i need an idiot-proof guide to tell me step by step, HOW to do this. haha thanks!
